English Language Learners

Association of RAZA Educators fight against harmful school legislation in California and the rest of the country, and to draw positive attention to students in the Hispanic community. They address student tracking, tolerance policies, and other harmful processes.

Illinois Resource Center website dedicated to bringing a sense of community to public schools in Illinois. A unique feature is the the ability to locate child-related agencies, organizations and libraries in all counties across Illinois. This includes special education and early childhood education. In addition to other features, under School Community Network the section Recursos en Español may be helpful to parents of students with a second language.

Larry Ferlazzo provides many links and information to use as resources for this area.

New York State Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages It helps to be a member, but some videos are readily accessible.

TESOL International Association organization for teachers of English language teaching and learning.  The professional organization promotes and is dedicated to research accessibility of high quality instruction, respect, diversity, global collaboration,  and individual language rights. It is rich in content for educators involved with teaching in this uniquely important area.

@CNN Maybe those who write the CDC recommendations should visit schools, talk with teachers, & collect data about the reality of window openings in old schools. Just a suggestion. @CDCgov @CDCDirector
