Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities

Behavioral Disorders: Focus on Change an article from Hoagie’s Gifted Education Page. Many children who are intellectually gifted experience emotional and behavioral disabilities in school.

Center for Parent and Informational Services provides information and research materials on helping students succeed in school and the community. I found it difficult to navigate but there are brochures and links that might be helpful. They include webinars including an Introduction to the Juvenile Justice Toolkit.

Children’s Mental Health and Emotional or Behavioral Disorders Project reminder that 13 percent of students age 8 to 15 have a diagnosable mental disorder during their school years and other statistics. They provide resources and describe where, when, and how to get help.

Education Corner appears to be a cite for homeschooling. They describe Emotional and Behavioral Problems in the Classroom.

    Children with emotional behavioral disorders are often look in the school systems. As a special education teacher I really enjoy working with this population and try to help parents as much as possible with available resource. Thank you for sharing this resource.
