Interviewed a teacher last year who left the profession.

Why did you resign?

“I have a Master’s degree. I work really hard. I love teaching kids and am great at my job. I do it all for a disgracefully low salary. All of that and I’ve never felt so disrespected by so many.”

Wow. I just sent an email to my school board yesterday in support of the many good things in the proposed budget.

This will have a very negative effect on many school district budgets in Virginia and on our kids' education.

Not good, not good at all.

For some people, there’s nothing better than singing in a choir. For some people, there’s nothing better than playing in a music ensemble. For some people, there’s nothing better than making music with others. For some people, there’s nothing better or more important than music.

Anyone want to stop flunking third graders today, and focus on #literacy supports instead? #miched #mileg

Look the reason the Right wants to keep retaining MI 3rd graders is they want parents of those 5000 kids to keep getting the “your kid may flunk” letter MDE has been required to send. #miched #mileg 🙄

Strategically that plays into the plan to undermine #publicschools
